Swanage 11th July

Sunday 11th July, and after some head scratching over forecasts and lifts, Owen, Matt, Lisa, Jamie and Helen left Bristol at 7(ish) with a plan to climb seacliff trad at Subluminal Area swanage.

A great intro area for sea cliff climbing, with some gnarly stuff nearby. And a trip down memory lane for some of us.

We made it to the cafe for 9.30 and had a relaxed coffee eyeing the clouds out at sea.

Everyone ticked off some objectives, be that leads, grades, scary locations (the black zawn) or in Owens case just being out the house.

At five the rain started to fall and we withdrew to a fuggy chip shop in swanage.

Thanks to everyone who made it, in particular Lisa and Bob for transport.

If anyone is interested in future day meets to similar areas, keep an eye on the forums, newsletter, or email me at Trips@avon-mc.org.uk any questions welcome.
