AMC Cheddar hike April 2026
For the second hike of the year, seven of us plus two dogs took in the ups and downs of Cheddar and the surrounding area. The route took us up one side of Cheddar gorge in the sunshine. From the top we could see across the Bristol channel as far as Minehead. Upon reaching the highest point of the day and also the mendips (Beacon Batch), we grabbed a quick group photo in the sun before being treated to an unexpected hailstorm.
