Here’s what “Lundy Virgin” Neil had to say about the trip:

Well I guess I should write something as a member of the “Lundy Chastity” – The Lundy Chastity is the collective term for Lundy Virgins, lol, i.e. me, Rich Nicholson and Alastair Begley!

As a Lundy Virgin I have to say the trip was fantastic. I’ve heard the remarks about the qualify of climbing on Lundy previously but never realised just how good it is! Not only did I get to climb the infamous Devil’s Slide courtesy of one Dave Linnett but I also managed to bag my first ever new route! Yes, me, a new route, who’d have thunk it! After topping out on the Devil’s Slide Dave, me and Becky headed off to Partridge Slab (should be renamed Slab of the AMC) and spied a few new lines. And so after just over 1 hour the three of us put up 3 new routes – full names and descriptions available from Dave. The accommodation was 5* uber luxury for a climbing trip, as was the food and drink in the tavern. And of course it was Dave’s 50th, so hilarity and a few attempts at drinking our body weight in single malt whisky was the order of the evening on Monday. I must say that having heard also about the letter boxing I was somewhat not bothered by the idea of this, however, having doing a bit of letter box hunting with Becky I can say unashamedly that it was great fun and we even found the Rabbit!

Superb trip all round… even the weather!
